Location & Trip Data
To enable automatic mileage tracking, we collect:

MileTrack collects location data to enable automatic trip detection and mileage tracking even when the app is closed or not in use. This data is used solely to generate your mileage logs and is not shared for advertising purposes.
Account Sign-In Services
You may choose to sign in using third-party login services such as Google or Apple. If you use Apple Sign-In, Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your actual email. We receive only the information you choose to share.
Automatically Collected Data
We may collect limited technical information such as:
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- IP address
- Device identifiers
Analytics Data
We collect usage data (e.g., features used, actions taken) to improve the App.
We use tools like Mixpanel for product analytics. These tools help us understand how users interact with the App.

Because mileage records are often required for multi-year tax audits, we retain your trip data by default for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account, all trip data will be permanently removed from our production servers within 30 days.

For users in the EEA/UK, our legal basis for collecting location data is Performance of a Contract (to provide the tracking service you requested) and Legitimate Interest (to improve app accuracy and prevent fraud).
8. Your Choices

- Delete your account at any time
Some essential communications (e.g., security alerts) cannot be disabled.
You may delete your account and all associated data directly within the MileTrack App Settings or by contacting us at contact@canopas.com.

However, no system is completely secure, and we encourage you to protect your account credentials.
